Arboretum

''In April of 2003 the arboretum at Tollgate was established in cooperation with the MSU Departments of Horticulture, Forestry and MSU Extension as well as a great many volunteers.  This collection was planted on the hill west of the pond.  With the Emerald Ash Borer devastating the ash trees of Southeast Michigan this planting of forty species of trees will be examples of alternatives to ash for urban plantings.
